Among other cools things on the Big Map Blog are a series of 19th century aerial views of US cities from the library of congress. They might be useful if you want to know what Billings Montana looked like a hundred years ago, but I mostly enjoyed the small trains that invariably appeared drawn in all the maps. And by enjoyed I mean created a tumblr with 30+ images of mini map trains. I realize this level of fascination with transportation maps is usually associated with being autistic or German, but seriously these trains are great. Check them out at Trains in Town.
